1940 Buick Super Torpedo Coupe in Adair Village, OR

1940 Buick Super Torpedo CoupeULTRA rare 1940 Buick Super Torpedo coupe. It shares the same body as the Cadillac and the Pontiac 8 coupe's only. This was the 1st year they took off the running boards. It also has the forward look roof line, unlike the Special model or similar Chev models.Now this car has had a complete modern update using a 1996 Caprice with all it's running gear with power disc rack & pinion steering (Mustang II) Has the LT1 Vette motor, with a new serpentine belt pully system. Vintage air conditioning, tilt steering column, Auto trans and 10 bolt rear end all from the Caprice, along with it's on board computer to run everything! So what i'm saying here, is that it is like driving a modern car or a 96 caprice!This is one very cool ride that get's an amazing amount of attention from young & old.
